Siesta
The images that constitute the project 'Siesta' are based on a personal and discontinuous journey of visits to my family in Cordoba, Argentina. This journey began with my family's exile during the last civil-military dictatorship in Argentina and my birth during that exile. Siesta' is a collaborative visual project that we started by playing, making images at siesta time, a space of no-time, but of reunion. In the process of creating the images, we collected, recreated and speculated with a visual inventory of unwritten stories, memories and family silences, in a photo album that was always incomplete. The entire course of the project became a book: a playful, enigmatic and experimental object and space to navigate the voids of stories without images.
